The Ru Courtaud from Barmasc
Easy walk starting by car from Antagnod to Barmasc. Here you can admire the horses of the Green Ranch Equitation running free.
Afterwards, continue along the dirt road to the end of the car park, walk along the picnic area until you reach 'Pian Cianciavellà' ('Pian delle Signore' for tourists) where the Ru Courtaud flows gently, the canal that rises above Saint-Jacques and between tunnels and enchanting views reaches the hills of Saint-Vincent.
Here you can finally relax in the sun, play football, enjoy your picnic lunch, or reach the 'Alpe Corneuil' and 'La Tchavana' agritourisms where you can taste typical local specialities: the products are local, genuine and handmade according to tradition!
The Mascognaz waterfall
A wonderful spectacle for all children!
The path starts behind the Office du Tourisme in Champoluc and in about 15 minutes you reach the most beautiful viewpoint over the waterfall. Here, the stream coming down from the village of the same name takes a breathtaking plunge.
The walk is also illuminated at night, and when winter comes, the magical waterfall turns to ice.
Also not to be missed, subject to booking at the Ayas Mountain Guides' office, is the Champoluc zipline, for an adrenalin-filled flight experience over the waterfall!
