Feeling light, free and complete, in harmony with ourselves and our surroundings: this is what we look for in something 'that makes us feel good'.
Lightness, freedom, completeness and harmony.
Everyday life, however, leads us to accumulate stress, worries and complexity: this separates us from contact with the most essential part of who we are and from nature, relegating us to automatisms and reactions that increasingly distance us from a state of serenity and well-being.
Yoga and qigong are millenary practices of oriental origin (India and China) that help us rediscover a connection with ourselves and the reality in which we live. Working with movement, breathing and concentration, they allow us to free ourselves from the accumulation brought by daily life on a physical, emotional and mental level. At the same time, they teach us to return to an individual dimension of unity and coherence on a psycho-physical and emotional level and then rediscover ourselves as an essential part of a larger harmonious reality, which is nature.
Practising these teachings in the open air and surrounded by the invigorating energy of the mountains is a gift for which we give thanks with all our hearts: nature itself supports us while we do a yoga practice on the lawn of the Rivetti Villas in Antagnod, a walking meditation in the Barmasc forest or a qigong sequence at the Mascognaz waterfall. In the Val d'Ayas, in fine weather there are countless places where we can practise, feeling supported by the mountains, the trees, the scent of the woods and meadows, accompanied by the flow of waterfalls and streams; but even in winter, when the days are shorter and it is dark outside, bringing the energy of a day spent outdoors into the evening practice is a way to round off an active day in the best possible way and find ourselves more complete and in harmony, ready to bring more balance into our daily lives.
Since 2015, Yogamonterosa has been uniting teachers and practitioners to share the wonder of practising in the mountains, offering different approaches and methods, ideal for all ages, abilities and previous experience: it is an open and dynamic reality, ready to offer itself and to dialogue with those who are curious to get to know it and experience its proposals, all united by the bond with nature.
