The route is easy because it runs along a busy farm road, but requires a minimum of experience in riding a mountain bike downhill.
From Champoluc along the Pian Villy and then on the tarmac road you need to reach Saint Jacques. Go past the church, staying on the road that runs alongside the Evancon stream, until you reach the bridge with the green fences, which will allow you to cross it. Shortly after the bridge, stay on the road going uphill, turning right until you reach the Blanchard sawmill. From here, keep to the left at the next crossroads and begin the dirt ascent, leaving the asphalt. An alternation of woods and meadows will lead you to the first fork in the road, where you will have to keep left again and keep to the road, which at this point continues on a slight descent. The path climbs up to Alpe di Nana, a panoramic point, a natural terrace, and a view of the Monte Rosa massif. From here, the path climbs further and the vegetation tends to thin out more and more due to the altitude. We are in the large Nana valley. We cross the last pastureland of Alpe Nana Superiore to reach the Tournalin hut. The return is all downhill, along the same route as the ascent. Experts can descend along the path that intersects the uphill track several times, but attention must be paid to hikers on the ascent.
